Unità pastorale mocaiana
The Mocaiana Pastoral Unit is made up of four parishes:
- St John the Baptist in Loreto
- St Mary in Monteleto
- St Bartholomew in Camporeggiano
- St Benedict in San Benedetto Vecchio
It lies in the western part of the municipality of Gubbio and is marked by a varied landscape (plain and hills) and a large area. It is made up of four parishes with different histories and traditions, some of them the result of earlier mergers: St Mary in Monteleto brings together the former parishes of Nerbisci and Pisciano; St Bartholomew in Camporeggiano brings together the former parishes of Sioli and Montelovesco. Besides their location, they share a common reference point in the village of Mocaiana, the largest centre, where the various services are found: schools, food shops, etc.
There are many churches, including non-parish ones, all still consecrated and in regular use.

Parish Pastoral Council
WHAT IS IT?
It is the expression of the parish community living and walking together.
It is a sign of communion and collaboration between priests and lay people, and among lay people themselves.
It is the response to the invitation addressed by Pope John Paul II to lay people: "You are the Church!... and you must SHOW it through open COMMUNION and COLLABORATION among your different charisms, your different forms of apostolate and service, promoting your integration into the particular Churches and parish communities, where the family of God regularly gathers".
WHAT DOES IT DO?
It promotes, supports, coordinates and reviews all the pastoral activity of the parish, in order to encourage the active participation of its various members in the one mission of the Church: to evangelise, to sanctify and to serve people in charity.
It has an advisory role: it is called to listen to the Lord who guides his Church, and to read the signs of the times in the light of faith.
WHO IS IT MADE UP OF?
It is made up of Christians called to live the experience of faith and church communion through collaboration and service.
Council for Economic Affairs
WHAT IS IT?
It is the body through which the faithful work with the parish priest in the administration of the parish. Its task is to assist the parish priest in preparing the parish budget each year, listing the expected expenses for the various areas of activity and identifying how they will be covered, with reference to the general management of the parish.
